He is also the CTO of Scaleout Systems (https://www.scaleoutsystems.com/), a company focused on privacy-preserving AI solutions. Toor holds two master’s degrees and a PhD in scientific computing, and he is an expert in the scalability and performance of distributed infrastructures and applied machine learning.

Currently, he co-leads the Vinnova project Robust IoT Security, emphasizing robust federated learning. Previously, he spearheaded the Vinnova project A Platform for Privacy-preserving Machine Learning Using the Ethereum Blockchain and Smart Contracts and served as a work-package-leader in the EU-funded project AICHAIN, focusing on privacy-preserving federated learning for ATM operational enhancements. Toor is also involved in the SustAinimal project, contributing to the activities of WP-3 on the digitization of the agricultural sector.
